I love Bloc Party. I saw them last night for the eighth time, and each time they continually amaze me. This time they played one of my favourite b-sides, Little Thoughts, and I managed to be right at the front at the centre, so managed to touch the lead singer, Kele Okereke. This might not sound like much but it's pretty awesome to me. I also ALMOST got a setlist, and my flatmate got one.
The setlist was incredible, the atmosphere was amazing, the crowd went wild, and the gig was amazing.

320GB wasn't nearly enough, I merged libraries with my flatmate so now have 100GB of music, plus windows, documents, games, etc, so it was time to get a new drive, so I chose a Samsung F3 1TB SATA drive. It's glorious having so much space on here :).

As much as I hate to boot Tim Minchin off of my blog so quickly, into the barren wastelands of the archives, I just have to show you as much as possible of this fantastic new band called The xx. I admit, I did discover them by reading a pitchfork review, which is about as cliche as they get, but that aside, I don't care how I found them they're simply wonderful. If clicking a play button is too much hassle, they're quiet, refined, vaguely radiohead-esque (oh pitchfork, what have you done to me?) electro/indie/pop, and they're well worth your time.
Download, torrent, buy, spotify their album, pick your poison. But by hook or by crook, you need to listen to this album (It's titled xx). If you're too impatient to listen to 40 minutes of quiet, relaxing shoegaze-pop, check out Crystalised, VCR, and Night Time. (These three mini-youtube links are those three in that order)

If you have 10 minutes free, take a listen to this.
I really do love it.
Then go look up Taboo, Inflatable You, Rock & Roll Nerds, Peace Anthem For Palestine, and If I Didn't Have You.
